Am Donnerstag voriger Woche fanden die Supremesurf Bigdays statt. Dieses Jahr ging es in Mukran auf Rügen ordentlich zur Sache. Bei oberen 7 bis 8 bft. war Donnerstag der 06.05.2010 zwar sicherlich nicht der stürmischste Tag des Jahres, aber mit gefühlten -5 Grad sicherlich einer der Kältesten. In einem Starterfeld von 45 Jungs rotierten auch einige PWA Surfer wie Flo Jung, Klaas Voget und sogar Philip Koester über der aufgemischten Ostsee. Die Wellen waren noch sehr angenehm zum Abreiten und doch machte mir die Kälte an diesem Tag etwas zu schaffen- leider schaffte ich es nicht über die erste Runde. Was solls, ist ja auch nicht gerade meine Disziplin – der Contest jedoch war wieder einmal großartig organisiert. THX an www.Supremesurf.de

Thursday this week the SUPREMESURF BIGDAYS took place. This year the competing riders gave her best in Mukran on the northern german island Rügen. With 7 to 8 beaufort, this Thursday definetely wasn’t the most stormy day until yet but with minus 5 degree it was one of the coldest days for sure.
Among the 45 starters also some PWA-stars like Flo Jung, Klaas Voget and Philip Koester rotated over the wavy baltic.
The waves were pretty comfortable to ride and sometimes there was also a ramp waiting to get hit.
Everything seemed a kind of perfect although the coldness made the conditions a bit difficult. Also waveriding is not really „my“ discipline, means I’m not really in training concerning jumps and waveriding. I wasn’t feeling really fit thus I didn’t made it further than the first round.
Even I was sort of depressed at first, I sayed to myself „so what…..next time you do better“. And with this attitude we had a lot of fun during a session in the evening with beutiful sunshine and awesome waves.
Congratulations to Florian Behringer who made it on the 6th place and of course the winner Kenneth Danielsen. Also the others performed absolutely great in this suboptimal conditions.
