Bin nun seit einer Woche auf Teneriffa. Leider hatte ich noch nicht wirklich viel Wind, aber die Sonne gibt ihr Bestes um mich mit positiver Energie nach Deutschland zurückreisen zu lassen.
Bisher waren es genau 2 Sessions. Eine davon gleich am Anfang in Las Americas, genauer genommen Fitenia. Der Wellenreitspot bot Wind von Links für mein 4.5er und den 90 Liter Freestyler mit 16er Finne. Die Welle war eher dürftig, aber trotzdem hat`s Spaß gemacht.
Die zweite Session verbrachte ich zwischen einem Haufen von Kitern und race-wütigen Windsurfern in der Medano-Bucht. Freestylen shockte also nicht wirklich und so entschloss ich mich die Spots im Norden zu erkunden. Leider war da weder Welle noch Druck, da sich der Wind mittlerweile für eine Richtung entschieden hatte, die einen anständigen Luvstau hervorrief.
Nach einem Cortado (Espresso & Milch) mit meinen Eltern entschied ich mich dann den mittlerweile schwachen Wind in der Medano-Bucht für eine Evening-Session auszunutzen. Bereits nach wenigen Schlägen und doppelt so vielen Moves ging der Wind dann runter.
Ihr merkt…die diesjährigen Bedingungen sind eher suboptimal, aber wie gesagt, die Sonne, alltäglicher Sport, nette Leute und 1 oder 2 Havanna am Abend entschädigen. Btw: Der Wind für Mittwoch sieht gut aus!!!

 
 
 
I`m on Tenerife for nearly one week by now. Unfortunately the wind wasn’t that good until yet but the sun does her best refueling me with a lot of positive Energy.

There were actually two sessions so far. The first one, which was quite at the beginning of my vacation, I spent in Las Americas, more precisely: at the Wavespot “Fitenia”. I had a lot of fun sharing some decent but powerless waves with two Locals. I used my 90 Liter Freestyle  with 16cm MFC-Freestyle-Fin and the 4.5 Session-Sail.

My second and last session so far was in the Medano Bay next to Cabezo. The spot was overcrowded with kitesurfers and race-wicked windsurfers. That was the reason which made me exploring the north. El Socorro and Guimar were supposed to work but unfortunately they actually didnt because the wind-direction switched while going there. It was a sort of desaster but after having a cortado (espresso & shot milk) with my parents I was motvated again to have an evening session in Medano. Using some gusts for rather a short time I became finally lucky with the day.

You see…this years conditions are rather a kind of suboptimal, but as already mentioned, the sun, sport everyday, lovely people and 1 or 2 Havanna in the evening compensate the weather situation. Btw: The wind for wednesday looks fairly optimistic!!!
